Privacy policy

ChopChop Studios LLC (“we”, “us”) runs this website. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

What the contact form collects

When you send the contact form, we collect:

• your name
• your email address
• your organization (if you enter one)
• the type of help you’re looking for
• your message
• the date and time you sent it

We don’t store your IP address with your message. To stop spam and abuse, we keep a short-lived, one-way hashed (scrambled) version of it for rate limiting. It’s deleted automatically and can’t be turned back into your IP address.

How we use it

We use what you send only to reply to you and to discuss the work you asked about. Your message is stored in our Google Firebase database and emailed to us. We don’t sell it, share it with advertisers, or add you to a mailing list.

Spam protection

The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA v3 through Firebase App Check to tell people from bots. reCAPTCHA only loads once you start filling in the form. It collects information about your device and how you use the page, and is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people visit and how they find us. It only loads after you first interact with the page (scroll, tap, click, or press a key), and it doesn’t load at all if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information like your approximate location, device, browser, and the pages you view. We don’t use advertising or remarketing features, and we don’t use any other third-party trackers. Google’s practices are described in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

How long we keep it

We keep messages only as long as we need them to reply to you and discuss the work you asked about. If you become a client, project records are kept as our contract with you requires. You can ask us to delete your messages at any time.

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct, or delete anything you sent us. Email ndgilkey@chopchopstudios.dev and we’ll respond within 30 days.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the date below the title.
