An AI-powered cooking and meal-planning app for Android, designed, built, and launched end to end by ChopChop Studios.

ChopChop Kitchen helps home cooks organize their kitchen and cook with confidence:

  • Guided cooking with step previews, voice control, and built-in timers
  • AI recipes generated from what’s already in the pantry, plus quick cooking questions
  • Smart pantry and shopping: scan groceries from receipts or photos, and send shopping lists to Instacart

We took it from idea to the Google Play Store: product design, the Flutter app, the Firebase backend, the AI features, and the release itself. It’s the same stack and process we use for client apps.

About

Hi, I'm Noah.

I come from healthcare: a pharmacy background, then business intelligence, building the reports and data systems that clinical and operations teams rely on every day. I'm Epic-certified in analytics, and that work taught me that good software starts with understanding how people actually work.

Now I build websites, Flutter and Firebase apps, and data systems for small organizations: the ones without an IT department that still deserve tools as good as the big players have.

Every ChopChop Studios project is handled by me directly, from the first call to ongoing care. I'm based in Vermont and work with clients here and anywhere else over video.

Common questions

Do you work outside Vermont?

Yes. We're based in Vermont and love working with local organizations, but most of the work happens over video calls and shared preview links, so we work with clients wherever they are.

Who owns the code and data?

You do. Your code, content, domain, accounts, and data belong to your organization. We set accounts up in your name (or transfer them at handoff), and you can take everything elsewhere at any time.

What does a care plan cover?

Every plan covers hosting, SSL, security and software updates, backups, and uptime monitoring. Standard and Priority add monthly time for content edits and small changes, and Priority adds faster response. Every website includes a care plan, so your site never goes stale or insecure after launch.

How do payments work?

Most projects are a 50% deposit to start and 50% at launch. Larger projects are split into milestones, so you pay as the work is delivered. Care plans are billed monthly.

Can you fix an existing site or app?

Often, yes. We'll take a look during the free call. Sometimes a focused fix is the right move, and sometimes a rebuild is cheaper in the long run. Either way you'll get a straight answer and a fixed quote.

What happens on the free call?

Fifteen minutes, no sales pitch. You tell us what's going on, we ask a few questions, and we tell you honestly whether we're a good fit and roughly what it would cost. If it makes sense, a written proposal follows.
